Our team includes Associate Professor Sukanis Chumchuen, M.D. and Ratchanon Yartpakdee, M.D. including Assoc. Prof. Sunyarn Niempoog, M.D. and Assoc. Both professors have extensive expertise in managing ankle arthritis, Achilles tendon injuries, foot deformities, as well as postoperative rehabilitation. The Hand and Microsurgery Division of the Department of Orthopaedics,Thammasat University specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and complex surgical reconstruction of hand and upper extremity conditions using advanced microsurgical techniques. Our expert team consists of

• Associate Professor Sunyarn Niempoog, M.D. recognized for his precision in microsurgery and hand surgery, delivering meticulous care for restoring hand function.
• Associate Professor Thanapong Waitayawinyu, M.D. who has contributed significant research and innovations in wrist arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, and endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery for the treatment of wrist and hand conditions.
• Assistant Professor Chinnakart Boonyasirikool, M.D. an expert in managing adult and pediatric hand injuries and disorders including minimally invasive surgery and endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery with a focus on clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
• Punnawit Pinitchanon, M.D. dedicated to developing modern treatment techniques including microsurgical reconstruction, flap surgery and rehabilitation protocols to optimize hand function.

Department of Orthopaedics, Adult Reconstructive Orthopedics Center, focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of complex bone and joint disorders, including reconstructive surgeries of the knee, hip, and other joints using advanced techniques and high standards of care. Our expert team includes:

• Professor Nattapol Tammachote, M.D. a specialist in knee and hip surgery, experienced in hip replacement and reconstructive techniques aimed at maximizing functional recovery.
• Professor Piya Pinsornsak, M.D. known for his work in developing treatment methods and reconstructive procedures for hip and knee replacement. .
• Professor Boonchana Pongcharoen, M.D. an expert in comprehensive treatment planning and unicompartmental knee arthroplasty
• Associate Professor Krit Boontanapibul, M.D. and Supakit Kanitnate M.D. who contribute with modern technology and advanced surgical methods.

The Department of Orthopaedics at Thammasat University is proud to have a specialized team in Musculoskeletal Oncology, consisting of Associate Professor Krit Boontanapibul, M.D. and Assistant Professor Waroot pholsawatchai, M.D. The team is dedicated to comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue cancers using a multidisciplinary approach in collaboration with radiologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to provide optimal care plans for patients. Both professors have made significant contributions to advanced research and innovations, including the development of biomedical materials and molecular-level analyses, which enhance the possibility of limb-sparing surgeries and raise the standards of care both nationally and internationally.
